Maria Bergström (1993, Falun) is a sound artist working with acoustic & electronic instruments and samples to tell stories with focused presence as the main goal. She will receive her bachelor for Sound Design for Performing Arts at Stockholms University of the Arts in 2024. Returning Swede is her debut which was exhibited at Dalarnas Museum in 2019. She works with short movies (Berry Pickers 2022), dance movies (HAWA 2023), feature film and theatre (Titta Hamlet! 2023) with topics like mental space versus physical space, Maria is driven by creating human openness and sensory stimulation through sound.
